The foundation of Basant Overseas was laid by Late Sardar Basant Singh way back in 1938 in Punjab, where he opened his small shoe factory. Along with Manufacturing from his production facility and sourcing from the Agra footwear cluster, he became the prominent figure for the footwear industry in Punjab market during the 40’s.
Basant Overseas a family owned company was established in 1985 by Kuldeep Singh Gujral. Years of experience in Leather sourcing, created a strong and solid base for the birth of Leather Footwear manufacturing and exports. Born into a family of third generation footwear enthusiasts, Gaurav Gujral’s interest and passion for footwear was stirred from a very early age. After graduating with honors in Footwear Design and manufacturing course at Leicester College in England, he joined Basant Overseas in 2001.
Over the years their hard work has resulted in creating a growth-based environment. Their endless efforts & commitment have ensured that Basant becomes a benchmark when it comes to delivering quality products with keen interest in giving attention to details such as design, last, comfort, leather, embellishments, etc. all have helped Basant Overseas tower over others. An undivided focus on modernizing the manufacturing facilities whilst incorporating sustainable & ethical business practices have ensured that Basant carve its own unmatched niche. Today Kuldeep Singh Gujral enacts the duties of the Chairman to Basant Overseas & Basant Corporation whilst Gaurav Gujral enacts the day to day functions of CEO to Basant Overseas.
